Terms of Service for CivixApp

Effective: March 17, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CivixApp ("Civix," "the App," "we," "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Educational Purpose

CivixApp is an educational tool designed to help you prepare for the US Naturalization (Citizenship) Test. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal or immigration advice. Success in the app does not guarantee success in the actual USCIS interview. Always consult official USCIS resources and, if needed, a qualified immigration attorney.

3. USCIS Disclaimer

CivixApp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) or the U.S. Government. All civics questions and study materials are based on publicly available official USCIS resources.

4. Eligibility

CivixApp is available to users of all ages and is rated 4+ (Education). No account creation is required to use the App.

5. Free and Premium Features

Core study features, including all 100 civics questions, flashcards, and quizzes, are available for free. Optional premium features are available through paid subscriptions.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

CivixApp offers the following auto-renewable subscription plans:

  • Starter — $4.99/month
  • Pro — $9.99/month
  • Pro+ — $20.99/month

Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

Auto-Renewal Terms

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate.
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Managing Your Subscription

iOS: Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → select CivixApp → Cancel Subscription.

Android: Open Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select CivixApp → Cancel subscription.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds for subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by the respective app store:

  • Apple: Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the CivixApp purchase, and select "Report a Problem."
  • Google Play: Open the Google Play Store → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history → select the CivixApp purchase → Report a problem.

8. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are the property of CivixApp and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. USCIS civics questions are public domain; our presentation, translations, and study tools are proprietary.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content

10. Limitation of Liability

CivixApp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months prior to the claim.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and CivixApp, not Apple
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims related to the App
  • Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms

14. Google Play Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from Google Play:

  • These Terms are between you and CivixApp, not Google
  • Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support
  • Google is not responsible for any claims related to the App

What is CivixApp? CivixApp is a mobile app that helps you study for the U.S. Citizenship (Naturalization) Test. It is not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency.

Do I need to create an account? No. All features work without an account.

How do subscriptions work? You can subscribe monthly through the App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the billing period ends. Cancel anytime in your device's store settings.

Can I get a refund? Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com (Apple) or contact Google Play support.
