CivixApp (“Civix,” “we,” “our”) is a US Citizenship test preparation app supporting 7 languages with bilingual learning mode and Algorithm v5 adaptive learning. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (almost none) and how we handle it.

Our Core Principle

We do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Your study progress, quiz results, favorites, and preferences are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers. We have no user accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.

What We Do Not Collect

No personal information (name, email, phone number)
No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
No device fingerprinting or advertising identifiers

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us:

Study progress and quiz history
Favorite questions and learning preferences
App settings (language, theme, notifications)
Bilingual learning mode preferences and progress
Algorithm v5 adaptive learning state
Interview practice history

If you delete the app, all locally stored data is permanently removed.

Subscriptions and Payments

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive, process, or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address. For purchase-related inquiries, refer to your App Store or Google Play account.

AI Interview Feature

When you use the AI mock interview feature, your responses are sent to our secure server for processing. A randomly generated device identifier is used solely to manage your active interview session — it contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. Your responses are used solely to generate interview feedback in real time and are not stored, logged, or retained after the session ends. No personal information is required to use this feature.

Device Identifiers

The app generates a random, anonymous device identifier stored only on your device. This identifier is used exclusively for AI interview session management and rate limiting. It is not linked to your identity, cannot be used to track you across apps or services, and is never shared with third parties. You can reset it at any time by reinstalling the app.

Third-Party Services

CivixApp does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service used is the AI interview API hosted on our own infrastructure, which processes data in real time without retention.

Children's Privacy

CivixApp is an educational app rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users.

Data Security

Since we do not collect or store your data, there is no risk of data breaches affecting your personal information through our service. Data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is typically no data for us to provide, modify, or delete. If you have any concerns, you may contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
